Eisenbahner-Baugenossenschaft Kienburg-Olten
The Eisenbahner-Baugenossenschaft Kienburg Olten consists of two properties in Olten and an apartment block in Dulliken. The round building and the high-rise at Meierhof are close to the city, on a hill with a view over the whole Niederamt. The quiet residential neighborhood on the edge of the forest, with its play and meeting place in an orchard, offers recreation for families with children as well as for younger and older tenants. All 109 apartments in the two properties have been renovated and have a new bathroom. In 2018, all the kitchens in the round building were replaced. The “Meierhof” bus terminus towards Olten railway station is very close by. The property at Bodenacker 31–35 in Dulliken consists of 30 apartments with large, glazed balconies. A comprehensive renovation was carried out in 2012. All kitchens, bathrooms and showers have been replaced and brought up to current standards. The property includes an indoor parking garage. The bus stop is very close by, and the Dulliken SBB stop on the Bern–Olten–Zurich line is about a 5-minute walk away. The goal of the EBGKO is to provide current and future generations with attractive and affordable housing in family-friendly surroundings.
