Die HABITAS Wohnbaugenossenschaft Region Sursee bezweckt die Beschaffung von preisgünstigen Wohnungen und den Bau und Erwerb von Wohnhäusern oder Wohnungen in der Region Sursee unter Ausschluss jeder spekulativer Absicht. Sie fördert den preisgünstigen Wohnungsbau im Sinne der eidgenössischen Wohnraumförderungsgesetzgebung sowie entsprechender kantonaler und kommunaler Erlasse. Die Genossenschaft ist Mitglied des WOHNEN SCHWEIZ - Verband der Baugenossenschaften. Sie ist aus der Fusion der Sozialen Baugenossenschaft Sursee und der Wohnbaugenossenschaft St. Georg Sursee im Jahr 2016 hervorgegangen.
