The apartment is part of the first settlement by Genossenschaft Ziegelhütte Arbon at Romanshornerstrasse. The overall settlement comprises 75 apartments; the first construction phase with 45 apartments will be ready for occupancy from September 2026. New-build cooperative apartments are offered at cost-efficient rents. Tenants are required to subscribe mandatory cooperative shares (Pflichtanteilscheine).
The settlement is constructed to Minergie-P standard. The apartment buildings are realised in a hybrid construction (concrete slabs / exterior walls in timber element construction); the row houses are pure timber construction. Heat is generated via geothermal probes and photovoltaic elements on roof surfaces produce electricity for self-consumption.
The settlement yard is the central communal area and offers garden beds and seating areas for shared use. Each building includes a communal laundry room in the basement. The former care home houses multiple communal rooms as well as rentable guest rooms, attic rooms (Mansarden) and commercial spaces.
